Meet the Team (lol)
Knowing what to expect from mental health services is really important before starting. The unknown can be a barrier & if there’s any trauma in your past, something unexpected happening during a session can be startling or upsetting. So, I very much want you to be aware of the little extras that will most likely show up during our talks.
Scout is my sweet 12 year old dog. She often sits next to me during talks & might pop her head in to say hello. The biggest interruption she does, though, is to bark suddenly. If mail is being delivered, or if a cat walks across where she doesn’t approve, & especially if our forest-fox walks near the house, you may hear a loud bark. I’ll do my best to warn you if I can tell it’s coming!
There are also three cats in this home, all snugglers. So, it’s very likely you’ll see a tail or a fluffy butt cross the screen. You’re welcome to say hello to them! Otherwise, I’ll just try to ignore them so it doesn’t interrupt a valuable conversation.
